The summer holidays, alas, have long since ended and, for a few days, we have fully entered the autumn season. Oh yes, the sun is good for us, it brings us good humor and also a good load of vitamin D which will help protect us from winter ailments.
But if we weren't careful, if we didn't give the skin the right hydration, or if we exaggerated with the sun, our epidermis could seem thickened or damaged during this period.
Why does this happen?
It's very simple:
our body tends to defend itself from the "aggression" of the most harmful sun rays, enhancing the turnover and number of cells with consequent thickening of the skin, which is often associated with dryness, irregularity of the skin surface.
What may seem to all intents and purposes a blemish is actually a very useful defensive mechanism.
Because if you don't, you risk serious burns and long-term damage.
Now, however, we are in autumn, that is, in the moment of transition:
our skin is still thick and uneven, and needs help to get rid of old cells and regenerate.
How to solve the problem?
Here are some useful tips:
• DAILY SKIN HYGIENE: |
it is very important to use detergents that respect the skin but, at the same time, are useful for the removal of impurities.
The face, as the area most exposed to atmospheric agents and smog, needs deep cleansing with a cleansing milk that respects our skin. |
For the body, however, it is a good routine to use a good traditional soap with extra virgin olive oil , effective and delicate. |
• GENTLE SCRUB: |
that allows you to give a good shock to the mobile turnover.
Particularly suitable for the autumn season, it is the perfect lip scrub to nourish our lips that are chapped and weakened by the cold. |
The body scrub is recommended to be done once a week using a sponge, to remove old cells , impurities and some tanning residue (resign yourself but it will happen sooner or later) |
• USE THE RIGHT MOISTURIZER: |
The ideal is a light, moisturizing, soothing cream that also has a delicate exfoliating effect, so that the skin regenerates itself day after day.
The inevitable delicacy of our face requires a specific cream that allows the regeneration of new cells . |
It's not enough to wash with delicate soaps it's important to nourish our skin , for this reason not only the face, but also our whole body needs a daily pampering. |
• Healthy eating and… New oil: |
Always supporting any cosmetic treatment, a diet based on fresh and seasonal vegetables, raw where possible, is essential for skin regeneration. And, given that the olive harvest period is approaching, I suggest you consume "new" oil, that is, freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil: with a spicy and bitter taste, it is an exceptional source of antioxidants in its native state, i.e. not yet degraded by time, such as polyunsaturated fatty acids, polyphenols and vitamin E, very useful substances for counteracting free radicals.
