Like every year, here comes the saddest period of the year which has its peak on Blue Monday, the third Monday of January . The concept of Blue Monday was born on January 24, 2005 when the English psychologist Cliff Arnall identified, through a mathematical equation, the saddest day of the year. The reason for this depressing day would lie in a long series of factors including the unfavorable weather conditions, the shorter days, the end of the Christmas celebrations, the work that has restarted frantically, the failure of New Year's resolutions , the arrival of credit card statements for the month of December where you have spent too much, not to mention the pounds gained during the Christmas period .

However, it is possible to survive the most negative period of the year by taking small countermeasures to drive away anxiety and sadness, all made in Italy, indeed made in Tuscany . According to Chef Alajmo, the anti-sadness super-recipe would be good “ bread and oil ”, better if both are Tuscan. According to the sommelier Luciani, to overcome this sad period it is necessary to recover the tradition of the 5 pm snack and make it with wine and cheese . “In the mid-afternoon – says Luciani – we replace tea, the fruit of an Anglo-Saxon colonization, with a good wine and a good cheese, two champions of Made in Italy that today are increasingly a hedonistic choice, a pleasure that must have more space both at the end of a meal, if offered by the glass at the restaurant, and at home, as a snack. Other than an aperitif!".
